Takapuna Beach Reserve Playground

About this playground

One of the most popular playgrounds on the North Shore, and it's easy to see why. The three-level slide is a favourite with the kids — mine went down it about fifteen times. There's a good range of equipment, a toddler area, picnic spots, and direct beach access, plus a fun rotating viewing structure that's a bit different. Toilets, showers, and drinking fountains are all close by, and Takapuna Library is just up the road. Parking is available but fills up fast on weekends, and it's not the cheapest.
